Wexford FC welcome in form Drogheda United to Ferrycarrig Park tomorrow night on match day 15 in the SSE Airtricity League First Division. The visitors will be looking for their 4th win in a row after an impressive run of recent results which includes home wins over Limerick and Galway and a resounding 5-0 away win over Cabinteely. United are the top scorers in the League this season (29) and half of those goals have come in their last 5 games. They've also scored more goals in away games than at home (16 in their 7 away games so far). Last week they had a comfortable 3-0 home win over Galway United to move them up to 3rd in the table just 2 points off League leaders Shelbourne.

Players to watch out for tomorrow night include Chris Lyons who's scored 5 goals in his last 2 games including a hat-trick against Cabinteely, Sean Brennan who scored a hat-trick against Limerick and of course Mark Doyle, Drogheda's top scorer this season with 8 goals, one of which was the 92nd minute winner against Wexford FC the last time the sides met.

Wexford went into that game at United Park back in March with confidence having earned the first points of the season the week before with a 2-0 win over Bray at Ferrycarrig. Luke Gallagher gave Drogheda an early lead but Owen McCormack levelled the game 10 minutes before the break. It was a backs to the wall performance for most of the second half from Wexford, particularly after Sean Callan was dismissed with a second yellow in the 80th minute. Just when it looked like the ten men of Wexford had weathered the storm to earn a precious point, Doyle pounced with virtually the last kick of the game two minutes into added time for a 2-1 Drogheda victory.

Wexford FC and Drogheda United have met just 4 times (Drogheda were relegated from the Premier Division in 2017). Wexford have suffered three losses but managed a scoreless draw against Tim Clancy's side the last time United visited the South East in July of 2018.

Wexford's record at home this season stands at 2 wins, 1 draw and 4 defeats and Brian O'Sullivan will be hoping his side can get a positive result tomorrow night to keep in touch with the sides above them. Wexford sit bottom of the First division with 8 points after 14 games but remain in touching distance of Athlone (10Pts), Cobh and Galway (12Pts).

Chris Kenny is a doubt for tomorrow night's game and Sean Callan will miss out through suspension so some big decisions at the back for Brian. Corey Chambers is available for selection after recovering from a head injury which forced him off for the final few minutes in Bray last week.

Kick off in Ferrycarrig on Friday is at 7:45pm.
