Wexford Youths Women's FC finished off a stunning season with a gritty 1-0 win over Peamount United at the Aviva Stadium in the FAI Womens Senior Cup Final on Sunday, Katrina Parrock with the only goal of the game just before half time.

This is the second time Youths have done the treble (and the fourth time in five years that the League title has gone to Ferrycarrig) a stunning achievement. Tom Elmes surprised everyone at the Aviva by naming Rianna Jarrett in the starting line up, the striker having broken a bone in her foot on Irish duty just weeks before. Jarretts ability to retain possession and free up her teammates invaluable for the 60 minutes she was on the pitch.

Jarrett also had a part to play in Parrocks Cup clinching goal, flicking on an Emma Hansberry cross to Parrock who controlled superbly before a tidy finish past the Peas keeper. Hansberry was excellent once again with her deliveries from the wing causing huge problems for the Dublin side all game. Sophie Lenehan also had her best game of the season in goal for the Youths, pulling off some fine saves and coming off her line to intercept dangerous through balls with composure.

Peamount struggled to create and found it impossible to get past Lauren Dwyer and Orlaith Conlon in central areas, Peas striker Amber Barrett repeatedly throwing herself to the ground in vain in the penalty box with blatant dives that went unpunished. Still, despite restricting United to more and more desperate attempts from distance there was a crazy last couple of minutes as Youths scrambled to clear their lines before the final whistle went and another incredible season ended in yet more silverware for this remarkable group of players.

Wexford Youths Women's FC : Sophie Lenehan, Nicola Sinnott, Lauren Dwyer, Orlaith Conlon, Doireann Fahey, Kylie Murphy (c), Edel Kennedy, Emma Hansberry, Aisling Frawley, Katrina Parrock and Rianna Jarrett.  Subs: Ciamh Dollard, McKenna Davidson, Orla Casey, Aoife Slattery, Becky Cassin, Ciara Delaney, Rachel Hutchinson, Clionadh Ni Shi, Ciara Rossiter, Blessing Kingsley and Maeve Williams.
