Wexford FC have announced the return of two familiar faces, with keeper Corey Chambers and former Wexford Youths defender Jonathan Savage coming in to the side.

Chambers was the long-time understudy of Ferrycarrig legend Graham Doyle, who effectively handed over the position to Chambers in March 2017 following his injury.    Chambers made 14 appearances before departing in August to take a scholarship at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.  The signing causes a genuine selection headache for manager Damian Locke, young keeper Kealan Gaffney performing admirably so far in 2018.

Also returning to Ferrycarrig Park is former Wexford Youths central defender Jonathan Savage, a squad member in the 2013 and 2014 seasons under Shane Keegan.  Savage made three league appearances in the Youths' mid-table finish that year.  'Savo' will be familiar to Damian Locke, having worked together previously at IT Carlow.

Manager Damian Locke also reported the departure of Sean Hurley, Shane Barnes and Owen Wall.  The trio made 32, 12 and 8 appearances for the club respectively with Barnes having the honour of scoring the club's first ever hat-trick.  The club extends its thanks to all three for their efforts  for the club.
