Tolka Park is the destination Friday when Wexford FC face Shelbourne for what is their second meeting of the season. An Aaron Molloy goal was the difference between the sides in Ferrycarrig back in March as the Reds returned home with all three points, although Owen Wall came agonisingly close to an equalizer right at the death with the Shels keeper well beaten, his shot curling just inches wide.

Currently theres a 15 point gap between the sides (with Wexford having played one more game) while last year the sides ended up 21 points apart as Shelbourne finished fourth (their current position in 2018). The Reds have already drawn 5 times this season in their 13 games, four of which have been in the last five games, so will be aiming to add another win on the board on Friday night. They feature not only the First Divisions top scorer in David O'Sullivan (11) but also have the meanest defence having conceded just 10 goals so Wexford will have a challenge in both stopping their exciting front three of O'Sullivan, English and Evans while also trying to score ourselves (just the one goal in the past five Wexford games). Shelbournes last game was a trip to St Colmans Park where they had an emphatic 3-0 victory over Cobh Ramblers to end their recent run of drawn games.

Last time out for us was of course that 1-1 draw at home to Finn Harps, a game in which we created quite a few chances with Dean Kelly grabbing his second goal of the season for the late equalizer. That game saw Thomas Croke deputize as captain and he may have to do so again at Tolka Park as Ross Kenny is still recovering from the broken toe he picked up in our last away day in Drogheda. Mikey Byrne is back available for selection for Damian Locke while Mark Slater (who came on as sub against Harps) and John Morgan may be fit for a full 90 minutes if selected after their recent injury setbacks.

Kick off at Tolka Park,Dubln is set for 7:45pm.
