Wexford FC meet Cobh Ramblers for the second time this year on Friday night in Ferrycarrig Park. Back in March there was an epic EA Sports Cup clash between the sides which was eventually decided by an 8-7 penalty shootout and victory for the Rams.

Both sides have pretty similar records so far this season, both sides only victories in the League has come away from home and against the same side (Cabinteely, and both by 1-0 scorelines) both sides have struggled for goals (Wexford with 2 and Cobh with 3) and are separated by a single point and place in the League after five games. So a pretty close and tense game is expected!

Cobh had a terrific campaign last year finishing runners up and Wexford's record against them in 2017 was one draw in their opening away game of the season and three defeats.

Both sides are coming off the back of a run of defeats in the last few games and will be desperate to get something out of Friday nights game. Cobh lost to League leaders U.C.D while we were narrowly defeated by in form Shelbourne at Ferrycarrig last week.

Conor Sutton is still recovering from the injury he picked up in pre-season while Owen McCormack will continue to miss this weeks action through suspension from the red card he picked up at Finn Harps. After that, Damian Locke has a fully fit squad to choose from with Aaron Dobbs back in contention for a start.

Kick off on Friday night in Ferrycarrig is 8pm.
