Wexford FC We kick off our 2018 season in Stradbrook on Friday night @Cabinteely_FC but here’s a reminder of our fixtures for… https://t.co/4BIi3JjsV8

Shane Dunne last night announced via social media that he is to leave Wexford FC.

Last night's match away to Longford Town was Shane's 23 and final appearance for the club.

Shane was always a pleasure to deal with and always had time for the fans.

Everyone within Wexford FC would like to wish Shane all the best in the future, and remind him that he will always be welcome back to Ferrycarrig Park.

Shane was a League of Ireland First Division title winner with Wexford Youths in 2015, one of the highlights of the season being a wonder strike at Ferrycarrig Park against UCD to put Wexford Youths 7 points clear at the top of the table.
