Wexford FC manager Damian Locke is determined to finish the season strongly, and for this week's clash with UCD, he will have a full squad available with no suspensions or major injury concerns.

Three previous meetings between the two teams have produced 2 draws (1-1 and 0-0 at Ferrycarrig Park), and 1 win for the students (2-0 in May).

"Collie [O'Neill] has a very talented squad at his disposal, and there's a reason that they're as high in the table as they are" Locke explained. "As I've maintained all season long, you have to work hard for anything you get in this league. For the first time in a very long time, I'll have everyone available to me and it's an exciting prospect. To be able to bring quality players back in to the fold, and add them to the talent that's already there is brilliant. It certainly gives me a headache, which of course can only be a good thing"

Aaron O'Connor who has missed the last 6 matches through injury, Adam Hanlon (7 matches) and Adam O'Rourke (2 matches) are all available for selection once again after overcoming injury. Mark Slater returns from a 3 game suspension after seeing red in the home tie with Cobh Ramblers.

The statistics:

  • The last meeting between the teams in the Bowl produced a 2-0 win for the hosts. Goals that night came from Georgie Kelly and Jason McClelland.
  • 3 Previous matches between the two sides this season have produced just 4 goals - an average of 1.33 goals per game.
  • UCD have won just one of their last 6 games in all competitions (4-0 Vs. Athlone), but have won 3 of their last 5 home games in all competitions (also 1 draw, 1 loss).
  • Thomas Croke is currently Wexford FC's top goal scorer with 6 league goals (all coming in his last 10 league appearances)
  • Ross Kenny is the club's top appearance maker, having started 23 of 24 games this season (missed Cobh away in June due to suspension)
