#STRONGERTOGETHER

Wexford FC RT @YouthsWomen: Wexford Youths Women are now inviting applications for the position of first team manager - https://t.co/hsjqeH4DZx https:…

It was a special day in Gorey, as the club's under-15 team played their first ever competitive game in the newly formed League of Ireland Under 15 League hosting Cobh Ramblers.

The rain fell hard throughout the day, but Captain Kyle Scallan got the scoring underway after just 8 minutes heading in from a corner. Darragh Levingston and Cormac Bruce added to Wexford's lead in the first period, meaning that the teams left the field at half-time with Wexford leading 3-0.

Brian Byrne was introduced for the second half, and he helped himself to 4 goals. Kyle Scallan scored his second of the day, and James Dowling added another, meaning the final score was 9-0

We would like to thank everyone in Gorey Rangers who put on a great day, and looked after both teams so well.

Wexford FC U15 (Starting XI): Cian Browne, Sean O'Brien-Murphy, Shane Gibson, Luke Green, Kyle Scallan, Graham O'Reilly, Darragh Levingston, Cormac Bruce, Evan Farrell, Cormac Doyle, Brody Murphy. Subs (All used): Dylan Whelan, Mark Atkin, Brian Byrne, Darragh McGuire, Darragh O'Donoghue, Rian Fitzpatrick, James Dowling, Cian Kinlough, David Murphy.

The under-17s faced a tricky tie away to Bray Wanderers/St. Josephs. With just 7 minutes left in the game, Paddy Barron thought he had won it for Wexford, but just 3 minutes later, Bray equalised.

Wexford FC U17: Colum Feeney, Cian Foley, Nathan O'Connor, Reece Murphy, Paddy Barron, Caellum Travers-Devlin, Liam Berry, Adham Masood, Brandon Deady, Stephen Kearns, Craig O'Reilly. Subs: James Esser, Kian Kerr, Jason Daly, Conor Signorellli, Oscar Smith.

There was a thriller in Ferrycarrig Park as the under-19s hosted Cobh Ramblers. At half time, the visitors were leading 3-0 and it looked like the game might be over. Two quick goals, one from either side, moved the score to 4-1 to the visitors on the hour mark. The defecit could have been smaller, had Vinny Quinlan not failed to convert from the penalty spot. He did make up for it though with 20 minutes to go when he found the net. Cian Doyle also scored to bring the score to 3-4. With 10 minutes to go, Eoin Curran levelled the match and it looked like the hosts were going to rescue the most unlikely of points (or perhaps pick up all 3). It wasn't to be though as 2 late goals from the visitors rounded off the game to leave the final score 4-6.

Wexford FC U19: Adam Dempsey, Jack Gallagher, Adam Rochford, Dion Murphy, Cian Doyle, Mick Gardiner, Vinny Quinlan, Jack Healy, Dylan Bradley, Yaw Aboagye, Adam Feeney. Subs: Alan Maher-Broderick, Neil Murphy, Michael Murphy, Robbie Kane, Eoin Curran.
