#STRONGERTOGETHER

Wexford FC 🎉 Today we're wishing a happy birthday to midfielder @luisdeano who turns 20 Have a great day Dean! 🎊 https://t.co/anoECR9Hpr

Wexford face in to the first of two home games on the bounce, full of confidence after last week’s superb win away in Tolka Park.

Having trailed at halftime in that game, second half goals from Thomas Croke and Mikey Byrne turned the game on its head to give Wexford all 3 points.

Speaking to theleagueofireland.com after the game, manager Damian Locke was delighted with his team’s performance and in particular the performance of midfielder Mikey Byrne. “I’m really happy for Mikey to get on the scoresheet so soon in to his Wexford career, just like Dean [Kelly] last week, they have had a big impact on the squad already. We are facing in to a big couple of weeks and hope to keep the good run going.”

Ricky Fox will again be missing for the home side as he serves an additional ban, as will captain Craig McCabe and Sean Hurley (both with knee injuries). Aaron O’Connor is also unavailable.

During the week, Wexford completed to signing of attacker Adam O’Rourke and he will go straight in to the squad for Friday’s game.
