Wexford FC under 19s host Cork City in the 2nd round of the Enda McGuill Cup on Tuesday evening.

The under 19 team are currently unbeaten at Ferrycarrig Park, and this promises to be a thrilling match.

Wexford will be without the services of Martin O'Connor through injury and also Eoin Porter and Dean George who are both unavailable for selection. Yaw Aboagye and Vincent Quinlan have not trained all week with injuries and will be assessed prior to the match, but may struggle to be ready. Adam Dempsey is back in the squad after a footballing school trip to Zimbabwe, also back into contention for a place comes Adam Rochford.

Speaking to the Wexford FC media team, manager Tom O'Connor was in confident mood. "With two decent results on the road in the league we are looking to this cup game as a way to continue the positive results, and with us playing Cork again next weekend at home, we will be looking to gain the upper hand. We are unbeaten in Ferrycarig Park all year from pre-season to now, and with so many home games coming up we will be looking to keep that record intact for as long as possible, starting with a good result on Tuesday night."

O'Connor has recently recruited two new faces in Adam Feeney and Michael Gardener and they will be part of the squad which takes on Cork.

It is also expected that senior players Owen McCormack and Danny Doyle will feature

Kick off in Ferrycarrig Park is set for 7:45pm, and admittance is just €3.00
