Wexford FC have the chance to move off of the foot of the table as they move in to the second quarter of their league campaign.

Friday night sees Cobh Ramblers visit Ferrycarrig Park for the first time this year. When the two teams met in the opening game of the season in St Colman's Park back in February, a late strike from Lee Duffy seen Wexford leave with a share of the spoils.

This time around Duffy looks set to watch from the sidelines along with goalkeeper Graham Doyle (both back injuries), so Corey Chambers, who impressed in the draw with Longford Town will keep his place between the sticks.

A change in shape for Wexford in recent weeks has seen them switch to a 5-3-2 formation. With the exception of the last 10 minutes against Waterford in the EA Sports Cup, the new shape has left the team looking far more solid at the back, culminating in a first clean sheet of the season last time out against Longford.

In the aftermath of last Friday's draw, Damian Locke told the Wexford FC media team that he felt the team were through their rough patch, and had this to say ahead of Friday's encounter:

"It's a game everyone is really looking forward to after last week's performance. If we can improve on the Longford game I am fully confident we will get another good result"

Kick off in Ferrycarrig Park is set for 8:00pm
